Free Activities at Bimini Cruise Port

Bimini is absolutely gorgeous, and when we visited while cruising with Carnival Liberty, I wanted to see if there was anything to do without booking an excursion, in this post I will share with you things you can do at the Bimini cruise port without an excursion.

Not far from the port, in fact, you can see the hotel from the port, is Resorts World. Upon entering the Resorts World Hotel, its beauty immediately captivated us. The hotel boasts a stunning bar area right as you walk in, perfect for unwinding and enjoying a refreshing drink.

If you are considering staying in Bimini, this hotel offers a luxurious, comfortable experience.

Additionally, the hotel offers a casino, where I tried my luck. While I didn't have much success myself, I had a blast playing and enjoying the atmosphere. The hotel also offers a marina and beach area for relaxing. You can purchase a shore excursion for a Resorts World Day pass from your cruise line to enjoy the pool, bar area, and lunch.

Golf Carts

You can rent a golf cart for approximately $100 a day and explore the island. The golf carts are just past the port and before Resorts World. Riding around on golf carts is the main point of transportation on the island, so why not rent a golf cart and explore the island to what you want to see?

The port area is conveniently located within walking distance of the ship, making it easily accessible for cruise passengers. However, there is not much to do at the port, so I wanted to check out what we could do in Bimini without an excursion. Many of the shops were closed, and I only found one bar area, which is pretty much where everyone flocked to while enjoying a drink and the live music.

How to Enjoy Bimini Without an Excursion

Bimini Public Beach

Located at the end of the pier, there is a free beach right there waiting for you. There are umbrellas, lounge chairs and cabanas you can rent for the afternoon and have a bite to eat with several food trucks available.

With the gorgeous crystalline waters, how can you not enjoy this peace of paradise, especially since it is free?

As of summer 2024, these were the rental costs.

• One chair and umbrella $45

• Two chairs and umbrella $60

• Cabana $200

You can choose to do what we did and have lunch on the ship, bring you a towel and relax at the beach with no money spent.

Bimini Excursions

If you are wanting to book an excursion while visiting Bimini, there are lots of options. While we have enjoyed jet skiing at Kayak Beach and Bimini Beach, there are other options to choose from as well to enjoy the beauty of the Bahamas.
